Today was a big milestone for me...my Etsy shop has reached

1001 sales!!

It has been a lot of hard work and many late nights...but all of
the long hours were totally worth it. I have learned so many
lessons about following your dreams and working hard to
make it happen. But I am most thankful to all my amazing
customers because they are the ones who have made this
possible. I would also like to thank Etsy. Etsy is a wonderful
venue to share your handmade gifts and meet so many amazing
and lovely people. It is a very unique and special place.

Today was a total BIG happydance day for me...my

Etsy jewelry shop Voleur de Bijoux hit 1000 sales!

I also was lucky enough to be featured in a beautiful

Help Rebuild Haiti

Habitat For Humanity is working to help rebuild the devasted
country of Haiti. They will help to rebuild homes for the people
of Haiti and bring shelter to those left without homes after the
7.0 earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010. This is a
wonderful organization that is doing what is greatly needed to
rebuild the thousand of homes that were destroyed after the
powerful earthquake.

HANDMADE for HAITI - Etsy Sellers Unite

The earthquake that destroyed Haiti on Tuesday January 12th,
2010 has left the people of Haiti in total despair. It has been so
hard to take in all of the devestating destruction of this magnitude
without wanting to do something. I could not sit by and watch
people suffer in so much pain and heartbreak. I wanted to
donate money to help the people of Haiti and I also knew that
there were other people out there who felt like me. So I took to
the Etsy forum and created a thread to ask other Etsy sellers
if they were donating proceeds from their shops to help Haiti.

Bingo! There are so many amazing and wonderful handmade
sellers on Etsy who were donating part of or ALL of their
sales to help Haiti. This community of artists and crafters are
unbelievable when it comes to helping others. They are so
giving, supportive, kind, big hearted, and extremely generous.
As of today, we have 69 shops on the list who are donating
proceeds from their shops to help the people of Haiti and
the list keeps growing each day. It is amazing to see people
unite and share their gifts and talents in order to help others.
I feel so proud to be part of  this wonderful and truly loving
community.

Welcome to 2010!

I have been so excited for a fresh start. For some reason
2010 feels very special and charged with this surge of
positive energy. I have so many new and wonderful
ideas for my jewelry designs. I have been inspired by
all the beautiful nature and colors around me. Even
the brown winter twigs and branches have an organic
beauty that is so unique and lovely to me. I love all the
little green sage leaves in our garden. They have a soft
shade of moss green that makes me think of a secret
garden tucked behind an old cottage. The grounds are
filled with wild flowers, bushes, white roses, exotic
little birds, and old trees. This image have sparked so
many design ideas in my head and I can't wait to bring
them into life. I hope to incorporate a bit of the organic
beauty and natural colors into my new jewelry designs.

Welcome In The NEW YEAR!!

I am so excited for the New Year! I can not wait to welcome in all the wonderful new things and experiences that will come as each new day begins. It will be a fresh start to capturing new experiences, recording new memories, creating new things, traveling to new places, and meeting new people. A new year is such an exciting time when you look towards the future with a fresh perspective. I try to live in the moment and enjoy the simple little things in life...but I also love the fun and exciting knowledge of something new and unknown.

Each new morning starts out with a hot cup of coffee, the sounds of birds chirping, the flutter of the wind blowing softly through the trees, the light feeling of new hope, and the little spark of some new inspiration. I find it very peaceful in morning when the light is clear and the sky is a subtle hint of blue. It is the best part of my day and I truly enjoy every minute of it. With each passing year, I notice more changes in the way that I take in each new day. I know time is fleeting and you must cherish every moment as if it were your last day on Earth. I take a little more time these days to enjoy my coffee and look out the window in search of the flutter of wings. We have a couple of hummingbirds and finches that visit our backyard and I love watching them.

I truly wish everyone a wonderful and fabulous New Year filled with happiness, joy, excitement, laughter, health, and many spectacular new adventures. Life is an amazing journey and we are all here to discover and learn from it. I hope you will try something new this year and find joy in the discovery of walking down a new path.

Merry Christmas!

It has been an amazing and fabulous year! I am very lucky
to have the love and support of my family and friends. This
holiday was very special because it was the first Christmas
in our new home. I've worked really hard these past 6 months
to remodel this old house to create a special home for our
family. It was a lot of hard work, paint, tiles, wood, plaster,
and more paint. But all and all, it was worth it. Home is where
the heart is and that is what really matters.

I am also thankful for my fabulous Etsy customers from all
over the world! You have made my dreams come true and
I am forever greatful for your amazing support.
I wake up each day with a rush of energy and creative
inspirations. I realize how fortunate I am to be doing
something that I love. Thank you so much to each
and everyone of my customers.

Each one of you have made this past year very special

This week has been a wild and fabulous time for my Etsy shop!
I've just been featured in MaxiTendance...all the way from
Paris, France! It was such a wonderful surprise to open up my
convo and receive such delightful news. Nat did a wonderful
blog about my jewelry and creative inspirations. You'll just
have to use the translator tool in order to read it...unless you
are verse in French. I am truly thankful and thrilled to be featured
in such a fashionable Parisian site. Paris is a city that I truly love
and enjoyed visiting...I hope to live there one day. It is a beautiful
city filled with art, fashion, food, antique shops, museums, artists,
music, architecture, history, wine, and lovers. You must visit Paris
and see for yourself. There is beauty in every corner of the city
and the Parisian people are just as fabulous. They are warm,
friendly, expressive and original. The women are always dressed
to the nine in their fine fashions and scarves...and everyone
expresses "Voila!" to everything. It's just the way of life in Paris
and I completely agree...Paris simply is Voila!

WowWowWow! I am so excited about my jewelry feature in the new Bridal Ezine "Utterly Engaged" (Issue #2)! Stephanie Williams is the amazing photographer behind these gorgeous photographs. She truly captured the splendor and beauty of this Chic Wedding Gowns theme. I had such a wonderful and fun time at the photo shoot with her and Lucie (co-creator of Utterly Engaged). The photo shoot was taken at a lush nature preserve near the Pacific Ocean. It was such a striking background for all of these stunning white wedding gowns. Each photo is so spectacular and fresh. It makes you want to wear a white dress and run through a green meadow. I love it! :)

Fabulous News! My jewelry will be featured in the 2nd issue of the new ezine Utterly Engaged! I had such a wonderful experience working with Lucia (Utterly Engaged) and Stephanie (Stephanie Williams Photography). They are truly amazing people, with such talent and so very nice to work with as well.

The photo shoot took place in a nature preserve surrounded by lush trees and natural native plants of CA. From this gorgeous preview...you can see how lovely the images will be. It's so refreshing and inspiring to imaging getting married in a flowing white dress amongst the forest and trees. Love it!
