WowWowWow! I am so excited about my jewelry feature in the new Bridal Ezine "Utterly Engaged" (Issue #2)! Stephanie Williams is the amazing photographer behind these gorgeous photographs. She truly captured the splendor and beauty of this Chic Wedding Gowns theme. I had such a wonderful and fun time at the photo shoot with her and Lucie (co-creator of Utterly Engaged). The photo shoot was taken at a lush nature preserve near the Pacific Ocean. It was such a striking background for all of these stunning white wedding gowns. Each photo is so spectacular and fresh. It makes you want to wear a white dress and run through a green meadow. I love it! :)

Coming Soon: Utterly Enaged

Fabulous News! My jewelry will be featured in the 2nd issue of the new ezine Utterly Engaged! I had such a wonderful experience working with Lucia (Utterly Engaged) and Stephanie (Stephanie Williams Photography). They are truly amazing people, with such talent and so very nice to work with as well.
The photo shoot took place in a nature preserve surrounded by lush trees and natural native plants of CA. From this gorgeous preview...you can see how lovely the images will be. It's so refreshing and inspiring to imaging getting married in a flowing white dress amongst the forest and trees. Love it!

ETSY Gift Guides: Nostalgic Whimsy



Aluna Skeleton Key with Grey and Bronze Pearl Necklace

Wow!! My Aluna necklace was featured in ETSY's Gift Guides under their grouping called Nostalgic Whimsy. I was super surprised and thrilled to see one of my designs among all of the wonderful creations in this special grouping!! This necklace was inspired by a poem that came to light after I was awaken from a strange and mystical dream. The grey and bronze pearls remind me of the rich colors of the exotic blooms in the secret garden and the skeleton key unlocks it's mystery. The dream was so real that I could almost feel the cold winds blowing against my skin and smell the fragrant scent of the flowers in bloom. I was compelled to create this necklace and write this poem to capture the essence of my strange and beautiful dream.

Winter brings the northern winds as the ground is covered in shades of white.
The glass house has two secret doors. One opens up and reveals a winter garden
filled with exotic blooms. The second holds a mirror that sees into the soul. Each
glimpse reveals a new window into your dreams. He holds one key that unlocks
your secret world and opens up your heart.

This week I am featuring two wonderful and amazing artists from ETSY...Pearl Girl Pearls and The Owl Barn. These two shops are filled with beautiful and fantastic creations from two very sweet and lovely gals. I met these two ladies on Etsy and have discovered how much we all have in common. We love to create, laugh, put forth positive energy, support others and share our artistic gifts with the world.

Pearl Girl Pearls is a lovely shop filled with gorgeous pearl jewelry designed and made by my friend Elsa. She has many creative talents and inspirations to share with the world. Elsa is also a wonderful photographer and hopefully she will open another shop to showcase her lovely artwork. My new featured artist is a wonderful photographer name Shawn. He has a brand new shop on Etsy called Deconstruction The World. His beautiful work will take you on a vibrant journey filled with rich truth, emotion and human depth. You will feel as though you are seeing the world through new eyes. I am so impressed with his website that includes an even greater collection of images and works. His way of photographing live footages is very deeply honest and true. Each artist can see the world from such distinct and diffrent points of views. There is so much beauty in every place that we travel to and the memories that attaches itself to our souls. Shawn has that special ability to capture these moments and share them with all of us. It always amazes me how much talent there are in the world. New Collection: Edwardian Couture

The Edwardian period is my latest inspiration for this new line of Edwardian Couture Jewelry. This decade marked the full flowering of Parisian haute couture as the arbiter of styles and silhouettes for women of all classes. Designers sent fashion models or mannequins to the Longchamp races wearing the latest styles, and fashion photographs identified the creators of individual gowns. In 1908, a new silhouette emerged from Callot Soeurs, Vionnet at the house of Doucet, and most importantly, Paul Poiret. The styles were variously called Merveilleuse, Diréctoire, and Empire after the fashions of the turn of the nineteenth century, which they resembled in their narrow skirts and raised waistlines.

The style and fashion of the Edwardian period is very moody and romantic. I love the form-fitting gowns with high or indefined waists, or ankle-length skirts and long tunic-like jackets, and required a different "straight line" corset. It is such a richly refined era filled with grace and elegance. It was the starting point for my new inspiration in designing jewelry with a vintage feel and romantic drama. Welcome to the New Year! I have had such a wonderful and creative 2008. It has been such an amazing and fantastic experience for me to start creating and designing my own line of vintage inspired jewelry. The work has been truly fulfilling for me...at times a bit hard and challenging, but so much more worthwhile than one could ever imagine. I've never thought that creating something with your own hands could be so rewarding. The feeling of accomplishment is more than I could ever hope for. I am looking forward to new inspirations for 2009.

My new goals and perspective on the creative process has been profound...I have learned to truly enjoy each moment and let it transfer into my work. This joy is then infused and mingled with my creative energy and allowed to develop into new, unique and wonderful styles. I hope to develop and grow each new day as I continue to learn and explore this new journey and creative process.

I am busy creating fabulous new designs for 2009. I hope to spend more time with my photography to showcase them in their purest beauty....which is another passion of mine. I'd love to have time for my photograph work as well. Oh, life's simple dilemmas...how sweet it is to have complexities of the heart and soul. May you find your joy and follow your passion this New Year...because in doing so, you will find your true happiness. :)

My new featured artist is a wonderful photographer name Shawn. He has a brand new shop on Etsy called Deconstruction The World. His beautiful work will take you on a vibrant journey filled with rich truth, emotion and human depth. You will feel as though you are seeing the world through new eyes. I am so impressed with his website that includes an even greater collection of images and works. His way of photographing live footages is very deeply honest and true. Each artist can see the world from such distinct and diffrent points of views. There is so much beauty in every place that we travel to and the memories that attaches itself to our souls. New Collection: Edwardian Couture

The Edwardian period is my latest inspiration for this new line of Edwardian Couture Jewelry. This decade marked the full flowering of Parisian haute couture as the arbiter of styles and silhouettes for women of all classes. Designers sent fashion models or mannequins to the Longchamp races wearing the latest styles, and fashion photographs identified the creators of individual gowns. In 1908, a new silhouette emerged from Callot Soeurs, Vionnet at the house of Doucet, and most importantly, Paul Poiret. The styles were variously called Merveilleuse, Diréctoire, and Empire after the fashions of the turn of the nineteenth century, which they resembled in their narrow skirts and raised waistlines.

The style and fashion of the Edwardian period is very moody and romantic. I love the form-fitting gowns with high or indefined waists, or ankle-length skirts and long tunic-like jackets, and required a different "straight line" corset. It is such a richly refined era filled with grace and elegance. It was the starting point for my new inspiration in designing jewelry with a vintage feel and romantic drama. Welcome to the New Year! I have had such a wonderful and creative 2008. It has been such an amazing and fantastic experience for me to start creating and designing my own line of vintage inspired jewelry. The work has been truly fulfilling for me...at times a bit hard and challenging, but so much more worthwhile than one could ever imagine. I've never thought that creating something with your own hands could be so rewarding. The feeling of accomplishment is more than I could ever hope for. I am looking forward to new inspirations for 2009.

My new goals and perspective on the creative process has been profound...I have learned to truly enjoy each moment and let it transfer into my work. This joy is then infused and mingled with my creative energy and allowed to develop into new, unique and wonderful styles. I hope to develop and grow each new day as I continue to learn and explore this new journey and creative process.

I am busy creating fabulous new designs for 2009. I hope to spend more time with my photography to showcase them in their purest beauty....which is another passion of mine. I'd love to have time for my photograph work as well. Oh, life's simple dilemmas...how sweet it is to have complexities of the heart and soul. May you find your joy and follow your passion this New Year...because in doing so, you will find your true happiness. :)
